Minutes

Call to Order: President, Joan, called the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report:  Colleen presented the Treasurer’s report.

Omaha Bead Bazaar:  April reported on vendors signed up for the Omaha Bead Bazaar, April 12, 2014.  The Publicity Committee met and both rooms of the Westside Community Center will be used.  A publicity release document will be released to the media.  All members, but especially those who participate in national teachers workshops, were encouraged to sign up to work at the Omaha Bazaar.

Lincoln Bead Bazaar: The date will be October 18, 2014 at the Center for People in Need.

Workshops:  Members reported satisfaction with the Jill Wiseman workshop.  It was decided that Jenny will contact Huib Petersen to try to arrange for a workshop in Lincoln in 2015.  Below is the link to Mr. Petersen’s webpage.

Librarian Position:  Nan has not been able to attend meetings recently.  Kathi spoke with her and asked if she would like for the position to be reassigned.  She agreed, but wants to label all of the books first.  April contacted Eastmont and was told that we could store the NBS library books at Eastmont.

Volunteers to teach projects at upcoming meetings were solicited.  Joan will contact Dick Loeb to bring his cabochons to another meeting .  He was interested in learning how to bezel cabochons, so April volunteered to teach bezeling when Dick is available to attend again.
 
Adjournment:
As there was no further business, the business meeting was adjourned.  Mona presented a class on making a tila and pearl bracelet.
